FINANCING AVAILABLE
There’s something timeless about brick homes in Maryland, but over the years, natural weathering can dull even the most beautiful façade.
That was the case for one of our recent projects in Finksburg, MD, where the homeowners wanted to refresh their two-story brick home with a lighter, more modern look. They loved their home’s character but felt it no longer reflected their style.
Our team at Goode Design, Painting, and Wall Covering was thrilled to help them bring that vision to life.
Breathing New Life Into a Classic Home
This Finksburg property is surrounded by trees, giving it a serene, tucked-away feel. The natural shade, though charming, had left the brick exterior darker and less vibrant. The homeowners wanted something bright and welcoming—a color that would not only modernize the home but also enhance the natural beauty of their surroundings.
We recommended a full exterior repaint with a crisp white finish, a timeless choice that works beautifully with traditional brick architecture. White brick instantly adds brightness, helps reflect natural light, and gives the entire home a clean, refreshed appearance.
Before any paint touched the surface, our crew got to work on detailed preparation. The key to any lasting paint job is in the prep. We carefully cleaned and repaired the brick, sealed small cracks, and applied a high-quality primer to ensure strong adhesion.
Maryland’s climate brings everything from humid summers to snowy winters, so every step was taken to create a finish that would hold up beautifully through all seasons.
Precision, Detail, and a Polished Finish
Once the surface was ready, we applied multiple coats of premium exterior paint designed specifically for masonry. This product allows the brick to breathe while still offering long-term protection against moisture and UV rays.
In addition to the main walls, we gave attention to the trim, entry steps, and wrought iron railings. The newly painted railings provide a sharp contrast to the white brick, drawing the eye to the elegant front entryway. The entire exterior now looks cohesive and refined, with every architectural detail highlighted instead of hidden.
The transformation was immediate.
What was once a traditional, darker brick home now feels open, bright, and modern—all while maintaining its original charm. The clean white finish beautifully complements the lush greens of the property’s wooded setting.
A Transformation That Lasts
